Experienced Attorneys:
ALL (24) CLE Credits every 2 years/ Newly-Admitted Attorneys: Up To 7 Professional
Practice and/or Law Practice Management CLE Credits per year
• New! Experienced and Newly Admitted attorneys must complete at least 1 CLE credit hour in Cybersecurity,
Privacy and Data Protection (Cybersecurity-General or Cybersecurity-Ethics) as part of their biennial CLE requirement (Effective July 1, 2023).
• Experienced Attorneys (admitted at least 2 years) are required to
earn 24 NY CLE credits every two (2) years -- 4 credits of which
must be in Ethics and
Professionalism topics, 1 credit in Cybersecurity,
Privacy and Data Protection and 1 credit in Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias.
• Experienced Attorneys may earn their remaining 18 credits by any combination of Ethics and
Professionalism;Cybersecurity; Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias;Professional Practice;Skills;
and Law Practice Management programs.
• Experienced attorneys may earn ALL (24) of their New York CLE Credits
by individual/self-study including our accredited Email Delivery, Audio CDs and Audio Flash Drives
•
Newly-admitted New York attorneys (licensed less than 2 years):
before the first anniversary of your admission, you may
earn a total of 7 New York CLE Professional Practice
and/or Law Practice Management
Credits in any combination you wish and during your second year of admission
the same thing (i.e., a total of 7 New York CLE PP and/or LPM
Credits in any combination you wish) through our self-study courses.
Ethics and Professionalism, Cybersecurity-Ethics and Skills* Credits may NOT
be earned through self-study. *Temporary Change effective 3/11/20 - 12/31/24: The New York CLE Board has issued an order temporarily allowing Newly Admitted Attorneys to complete their Skills requirement by self-study.

National Law Foundation has been certified as an Accredited Provider by the
NYS CLE Board.

CARRY OVER
Experienced attorneys may carry over a maximum of 6 excess CLE credit hours, in any category of credit, into your next biennial reporting cycle.

Individual/self-study of nlfcle.com "non-traditional
format" courses, by both experiencedand
newly-admitted attorneys (with limitations, see above), will obtain New York CLE Credits
for you.

individual/self-study. Upon receipt of the completed Critique(s) and verification of your course participation, we will send a NY CLE
